In a way she is part of the problem, because she trusts the President?s office. That and the belief that Obama is African/American, when nobody really knows who is. One thing for sure is he?s half-white, so he?s basically a white man with a nice tan.
I used to think the world of Chavez, until I found out that after the CIA-backed coup, where he was kidnapped, Chavez let out 12,000 inmates from the prison system. They were released under ?compassion? for the poor, because he figured they were jailed because of crimes due to poverty.
OK, sounds good, I guess, but he disarmed a lot of the Police and now crime is skyrocketing. There are approximately 10.7 guns per 100 people, but there is no stopping these gangs as they rampage through the country. Carjackings, home invasions, rapes, murders, you name it, the crime rate is going out the window. Many murders aren?t even noted for various reasons. Caracas has one of the highest murder rates of any city in the world. The Police don?t have the resources to solve major crimes, or any crimes, and so these criminals go about there business unfettered.
Chavez?s idea has failed, and he is no longer a hero to me, but another failed Socialist with a failed ideology. I don?t think Chavez thoroughly thought things through, or perhaps this was done on purpose to instill fear throughout the country.
He has let the People of Venezuala down, especially the poor and Obama?s policies may send America down the same shitty road.
